4×3 Shear Elbow – 90 Degree
Shear elbows are designed to satisfy the sacrificial shear section requirements of 49CFR §178.345-8 as tested and verified per TTMA RP84. They are Ideal to be used with a Internal Hydraulic Valve.

Elbows are constructed of 316 stainless with a 4” sump inlet flanges and outlet piping flanges as shown in table below. Steam jacket versions are available for temperature sensitive product and have ¾” NPT inlet/outlet ports.

Shear Elbow MAWP: 50 psi [3.4 bar]
Minimum bursting pressure: 200 psi [13.8 bar]
Fb-max per TTMA RP 86: 20,200 lbs [9,163 kg]

• When comparing “A” dimension of Shear Elbows to External or Quick Clean Valve, remember to add thickness of Internal Valve flange and mounting gasket to Shear Elbow for true comparison.
