This PT Coupling BFH series aluminum cam and groove fire hose coupler with an EPDM NH thread gasket at one end and a Buna-N cam gasket at the other is suitable for coupling to the NH male end of a fire hose. This fitting has a coupler at one end and a female National Hose (NH) fire hose threaded connection at the other. It’s made of aluminum for lighter weight and resistance to corrosion, and the cam arms are made of brass for low magnetic permeability and resistance to corrosion, making it compatible with water, hydraulic oil, coolants, gasoline, and petroleum products. It also has a Buna-N cam gasket for high tensile strength and resistance to abrasion and tearing. The hose end thread gasket is made of EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) rubber for resistance to weathering, electricity, oils, and some solvents. This cam and groove hose fitting is suitable for joining hoses and pipes together in a variety of applications in the construction, mining, agriculture, manufacturing, automotive, and petroleum industries, among others.
